01 — The Journey

BEFORE THE GRAIN, THE LAND

A hand-drawn pen-and-ink landscape tracing the journey of rice from mountains to memory

01 / 08 — ORIGIN

Mountains

Long before the field, the journey begins above it.

High in the mountains, snow and ice gather through the colder months. Held there quietly, water waits for time and warmth to begin its descent. Long before rice reaches the soil, part of its journey has already begun.

02 — The Grain

Rice, with a memory.

Grown in the plains nourished by these waters. Selected with patience. Milled with experience. Kept with care.

MF-RICE-01

Sella

Grain held within its husk, steamed and sealed. The starch settles inward. What remains holds its shape — and its patience.

MF-RICE-02

Steam

A lighter passing. The grain meets brief heat and lets go of nothing essential. The aroma stays close to the surface.

MF-RICE-03

White

Milled to a quiet ivory. The grain speaks less and carries more. The plain grain, finished with care.

03 — Our Standard

EVERY GRAIN MUST EARN ITS PLACE.

I

The Grain

Selected for character, length and consistency.

II

The Test

Quality examined beyond what the eye can see.

III

The Craft

More than fifteen years of milling experience behind every grain.

05 — Why We Listened

THE GRAIN CARRIED A VOICE

Years spent around grain, farmers, seasons, milling and the landscape gradually revealed that rice carries more than taste. It carries place, labour, seasons, families, land — and memory.

We are not historians.
We are listeners.
